Welcome to Real Estate Season!

Welcome to Real Estate Season!

Spring has sprung, which means that home buyers, sellers and real estate sales professionals are currently gearing up for the busiest time of the year. What can you do to ensure the greatest success in today’s real estate market?

While both buyers and sellers have traditionally counted heavily on the support and professional services of their real estate representative for their home transactions, the current buying and selling environment may be making it even more important to have your real estate professional by your side.

The Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA) says that while economic and demographic fundamentals remain supportive for housing demand in many parts of the country, policy headwinds together with rising interest rates are limiting access to mortgage financing and negatively impacting home buyers sentiment. At the same time, growth in home prices has slowed sharply in some regions, and home prices are declining in parts of the country where the supply of homes available for purchase is elevated relative to sales.

Sellers benefit from the experience their sales representatives have in understanding what best appeals to buyers. That includes how to ready the home for sale, how to professionally list and present the property, how to prepare for showings, how to get buyers through the door and then how to objectively negotiate a successful sale.

Buyers can depend on their representative’s knowledge of markets and neighborhoods to find the perfect listings, rather than relying on the online searches. You’ll benefit from experience, insight and expertise when navigating a tight market where buyers are forced to move fast and make competitive bids in order to get their dream home.
